What Would the Savior Do When He Comes?
In Buddhism, it is believed that when Maitreya comes he will enable man to become Buddha and take him to paradise and there are Christians who believe that when the Savior comes he will take church-going Christians to heaven. While everyone has a different idea of what the Savior will be like, it is widely believed that the Savior will be kind, compassionate and caring. However, man is dead within his sins and karma and in order to enable him to receive absolution from his sins, the Savior must make man discard what is his and kill his false self. Therefore people may regard the Savior as their worst enemy because of their human preconceptions and habits. The Savior is great compassion and kindness itself and he kills man in order to save him. However he is man’s enemy because that which is false tries to become Truth whilst holding onto falseness; man tries to become Truth while holding onto himself.
We need to realize that the Savior is not simply an existence of love, compassion and tenderness, but one who kills your false self. If you are completely dead, the Savior allows you to be reborn in the land of heaven. In order for this to happen, man must discard his ways of thinking, his preconceptions and habits, money, love, fame, family, all that he has, as well as his own self for the sake of righteousness. Consequently, the Savior who teaches this will be man’s greatest enemy.
The result of this is that man will be reborn, resurrected, and live forever in heaven. Therefore, the Savior is in fact the embodiment of true love, true affection and great compassion. The Savior makes man cleanse his sins and karma so that he may be reborn in the land of the Savior. The absolution of sin, or the cleansing of one’s sin and karma, is when man, who is false and incomplete, escapes from his greed, thereby returning to the origin, the mind of the Savior. Only he who has been absolved of his sins and cleansed his karma will go to heaven and live forever.
