🌟 INTRODUCTION
✨ In this teaching, Master Woo Myung examines the ontological theory of Thomas Aquinas, who divided existence into five hierarchical levels, and reveals why such classifications arise from not knowing the original nature of things. 🌿
He explains that Truth is not structured in layers of higher and lower forms, but exists as perfect oneness without discrimination. 🌌
This message clarifies that all creations share the same original trait of perfection, and that hierarchy itself is a product of the human mind. 🌠
📄 ORIGINAL WRITING BY MASTER WOO MYUNG
Thomas Aquinas, a medieval scholar and philosopher, was canonized as a saint. In an ontological writing, he stated that there were five levels of existence depending on substance and form; first, the lowest level of existence that is merely a substance, second, plant life with nutritional souls and animal life with sensory souls, third, human beings who have souls with reason, fourth, angels who have pure souls, and fifth, Gods who are of an absolute form. Can existences be divided into these categories?
Thomas Aquinas split existences into categories because he did not know the original nature of things. It has no hierarchy; it is oneness that has no differences in form and shape. He divided existences according to his thoughts because he did not know Truth. The answer is this: the original nature of all existences is originally one. Each individual being within this oneness are all perfection because their traits are the same. Man does not know that all creations exist as oneness without discrimination and have the same traits. One should know that this trait is each individual’s perfection.
