🌟 INTRODUCTION

✨ In this reflective teaching, Master Woo Myung examines the views of the Italian scholar Bonaventure and explains why his three levels of theology do not align with the living Truth. 🌿

He clarifies that God is not something symbolically seen or mystically experienced, but that nature itself and all creations are God, while individual minds are not. 🌌

This message reveals why theological concepts must be transcended in order to truly know the absolute. 🌠

📄 ORIGINAL WRITING BY MASTER WOO MYUNG

The Italian scholar and philosopher, Bonaventure, said that theology is the way towards God and that there are three levels of theology: theologia symbolica (seeing God in His creations in nature), theologia propria (when we who have been made in God’s image see God in our souls), and theologia mystica (directly experiencing and understanding God). Are his assertions correct?

The true meaning of theologia symbolica is that nature, just as it is, is God. Theologia propria is not to see God in our souls, but that our bodies themselves are God. Theologia mystica is not to directly experience and understand God, but that things just as they are, are God. God is omnipotent and omniscient so therefore all creations that exist without anything lacking is God, and non-existence itself is God’s original body. Our individual souls (minds) are not God.

Nature just as it exists and all creations in the universe are all God, and God of perfection who enabled all things to exist is what brought forth creations amidst nothingness. This existence is what religions call the absolute. Bonaventure simply stated his own thoughts, and as such they are not correct.
