INTRODUCTION

✨ In this deeply insightful teaching, Master Woo Myung explains the true meaning of past life, present life, and future life. These are not separate realms or mystical timelines—they are all connected through karma, formed by one’s thoughts, memories, and lived experiences.

A person’s present life is shaped by his past karma, and the present life becomes the seed of the future self. Therefore, to be free, one must shed his karma by discarding the accumulated memories from past to present.

When one discards the false self and lives in the Universe—the eternal, timeless existence—the concepts of past and future disappear completely. 🌿🕊️

ORIGINAL WRITING BY MASTER WOO MYUNG

Past Life

If someone asks
what a past life is,

I tell him that it is his life
in the place he was born.

If one asks after he has grown old,
what his present life is,

I tell him that he is living
according to his karma.

One’s past life is connected
with his present life.

The present exists
through the karma of his form,

and the present creates his future self.
This is the reason one must shed his karma.

The way to shed one’s karma
is by eliminating all of his memories
from the past to the present.

One’s life in the present is his future life,
and his past life is his present;

therefore one can shed his karma
by shedding his present life.
The way one is living now is his present life.

Thought-masses from his present life become his karma,
and decide the destiny of his life.

Although present and future lives do not exist,
man distinguishes between them.

The karma of his present life is his future life,
but when one lives in the Universe,
a future life does not exist.
