INTRODUCTION

✨ In this profound teaching, Master Woo Myung explains that Truth is not something to be learned, accumulated, or intellectually understood. Truth is the state of not knowingβ€”a pure existence where the Mind, the Body, and the Universe are one.

When existence and non-existence cease to be different, when the personal mind disappears, and when one returns to the original non-existent Mind, one realizes that the entire world is the world of the Mind. This writing reveals how the essence of Truth lies beyond concepts, beyond knowledge, and beyond the human-bound self. 🌌

ORIGINAL WRITING BY MASTER WOO MYUNG

Truth II

Truth –
there is nothing to know;
what could there be for you to know
when you do not know it?
Not knowing is Truth,
and so you should not know.
But it is not easy living life
without knowing anything.
What you must know is to not know.

That Truth – the foundation – knows nothing means
that it is a state that has always existed.
It is a state that man has always sought to know,
only to find that he does not know it once he reaches it.

It is amidst the state of not knowing
that the whole of creation exists.
To not know is to know;
thus what β€˜dō (Truth)’ knows
is entirely different from anything man knows.
So dō neither knows nor not knows;
it does not know when it knows,
nor does it not know when it does not know.
It is amidst the dō’s absence of knowing
that all creations exist;
to not know is to know.
For sure, such a thing is difficult for the human mind
to grasp.

The whole of creation is born from the one Mind,
and to it it returns.
The Mind is absent of any attachments that are
individual.
It is a non-existent Mind in which
the images of all creations exist.
Human life does not exist as reality,
but because man exists, it exists.
Man originally had the non-existent Mind,
but later he came to have his own mind –
a mind born of his body
due to his sense of individual self-existence.

Though the Body and the Mind are the same,
man separates the two.
Man’s true mind is the Universe,
and so is his body;
Thus the Mind and Body are the Universe,
which is why this Body is one and the same as
the true form of the Mind,
which is the Universe itself.

The Body is the Mind.
Though the Mind is non-existence,
the whole of creation and all deeds are born of it,
which is why life itself is also the Mind.
The Mind is neither existent nor non-existent,
but is the whole;
it is the representation of the non-existent Universe.
Existence and non-existence are the same;
thus there is only one Mind,
and this Mind is the whole of creation.
So though the Mind is originally non-existent,
all objects and this original Mind are not separate.
Therefore this world is the world of the Mind.

REFLECT AT SANTA CLARA MEDITATION

At Santa Clara Meditation, practitioners learn to let go of the personal mind and return to the original Mindβ€”where existence and non-existence become one, and Truth is found in not knowing. πŸŒ
