INTRODUCTION
β¨ In this concise yet insightful teaching, Master Woo Myung explains the meaning of an intercalary (leap) month, why it exists in the lunar calendar, and why people historically believed it to be a βfree month without restrictions.β
More importantly, he reveals that in the future, distinctions such as months, days, and times will no longer matter because everything will become oneβthe unity of heaven, earth, and man. In such an era, concepts like leap months will have no significance. π
ORIGINAL WRITING BY MASTER WOO MYUNG
What is an intercalary or leap month and what kind of influence does it have on people?
An intercalary or leap month is the insertion of an extra month every three years, calculated by the length of the other months in the lunar calendar. As it is not a month that originally exists in the calendar, people believe that it is a month without restrictions where anything goes.
In the future, it will not matter what month, day or time it is, because everything will become one. To be one refers to the unity of heaven, earth, and man, at which time there will be no need to adhere to such things as leap months.
