๐ŸŒŸ INTRODUCTION

โœจ In this beautiful and liberating teaching, Master Woo Myung calls us to lay down the burdens of the mindโ€”the possessions, attachments, and karma that weigh upon us. ๐ŸŒฟ
Though there is nothing in life to truly possess, people cling to the mind of possession, living meaninglessly and dying by their own cunning.

Freedom begins when we cast off the mass of minds we have accumulated and live without being bound to karma.
Only the true self, free from burdens, can live eternally. ๐ŸŒˆ

Burdens

Letโ€™s cast off all the minds
gained through our lives.
Although there is nothing to have in life,
people are bound to the mind of possession
and they live trying to possess.
Thus, they live lives meaninglessly
and die by their own cunning.

Letโ€™s shed the mass of minds that are our attachments.
Letโ€™s live freely, having laid down those burdens.
Even if we come to have something,
letโ€™s not live bound to karma.
Only living this way can make your true self,
and only this true self can live.

๐ŸŒ  REFLECT AT SANTA CLARA MEDITATION

At Santa Clara Meditation, practitioners are guided to shed the burdens of the mindโ€”to discard the attachments, karma, and habits that bind them. ๐ŸŒฑ
When the burdens of possession and desire are lifted, oneโ€™s mind becomes free and clear like the sky.
To live freely without karma is to live as the true selfโ€”the self that is eternal, peaceful, and one with Truth. ๐ŸŒ
